Privacy
Families should know what we collect, why we keep it, and who else may see a message.
What we collect
A parent account includes a name, email, a friendly family name, and the plan attached to the workspace. Each child profile can include a first name or nickname, PIN, age band, interests, conversation style, house rules, and usage limits. The Lumi mobile app stores a device pairing token on the phone so it can reach your family workspace after a parent authorizes the device; kids unlock with their PIN. Chat text and optional voice notes (for transcription) are processed so Lumi can reply.
What parents can and cannot read
Parents get Learning, Safety, and Usage reports — not a live feed of every sentence. Reports are meant to show patterns and when a house rule stepped in, not to replay a private conversation word for word.
Who else may process a message
To generate a reply, Lumi sends the conversation to platform AI services chosen automatically by your plan. Families do not select providers or models. Voice notes may be transcribed by a speech service so Lumi can understand spoken questions. See How Lumi uses AI.
