Lumi is an open conversational AI with family context layered on — not five separate toy apps.
What Lumi is
A child talks with one capable model. Learn, Create, Explore, Code, and Play are contexts inside that conversation. Conversation styles (Imaginative, Curious, Focused) change tone, not the underlying capability or the family guardrails.
Do conversations train models?
LucidLearn does not use family chats to train its own models. Third-party providers that generate replies have their own policies, which we summarize on this page.
Providers that may process messages
- Text replies: platform AI services selected automatically by the family plan.
- Voice typing: a speech-to-text service when enabled for the workspace.
- Parents and children never choose models, providers, or API keys in the product.
